What can I say? Not what I was expecting!
Was the guy’s arms tied up? Is that why he didn’t breakfall?
It looked like it hurt anyway, whatever happened.

I think he didn’t want to let go of the arm bar he was going for. At least, that’s what it looks like to me.
Let’s just call it a “lack of good judgment”. :-)
