Still a little too much but, understood – the students volunteer for this punsihment. The “crazy” man (on the other video – dojo brutality turns butt ugly) also volunteered. The criminal (and completely immoral) aspect was the foot stumps and not heeding the request to stop.

Hell, I often got knocked the heck out back in my Xingyi training. Difficult to learn how a particular jin complex is formed if you’ve never been hit by it.

If his students keep going back for more, then fair enough. But of course it’s too easy to cross the line, so the instructor’d better know what he’s about.
