Flexx Theme
ByFor the last 9 months, I’ve been using Flexx Theme here on my blog. a few months ago, I also used it on my site WimDemeere.com after I got rid of the DotNetNuke install that was so much trouble to maintain. There were a couple of issues with Flexx when I first began using it but the support forum helped me out real fast and always gave excellent information.
Yesterday, I was doing some work on my site and looking for a specific solution, I went back to the support forum. Turned out it had closed down as iThemes has now moved to a membership support model with yearly payments. Now I’m not that much of an IT nerd that I keep on messing with the theme so I really don’t need that much help. I mostly try to leave the software alone and focus on content. So paying for a yearly subscription seemed like a lot of money for what I’d use it for.

I posted a message on the pre-sales forum, explaining I bought Flexx less than a year ago and just wanted to download the latest update because it has some features I need. Right away, the sales people contacted me and offered me a free one-year subscription to the forum, along with access to download the latest updates.
How cool is that?
If you’re looking for a new theme for your WordPress site or blog, give iThemes a look. They have a lot more themes than just Flexx and as explained above, the support is really good.
