Loren W. Christensen’s novel
ByI just got an email from Loren W. Christensen, my co-author. He’s written the first of a series of novels featuring a martial artist/LEO. Here’s what he said:
After 45 non-fiction books, I’ve finally written a fiction to be published in the next couple of months, titled Dukkha: A Sam Reeves Martial Arts Thriller. It’s the first of at least three in a series.
Dukkha is a Pali word meaning misery, suffering, agony, fun stuff like that.
The publisher wants a subtitle, and has narrowed it down to three:
- Eye for an Eye
- The Good Intent
- One Bad Week
I’d appreciate your suggestions.
Here is a brief synopsis:
A veteran cop/martial artist suffering PTSD after killing three people, one a little boy, abruptly meets his father for the first time, a quirky, martial arts extraordinaire, who he thought died in a Vietnamese prison decades earlier. In fact, the father has been living in Vietnam studying a fighting system called Temple of Ten Thousand Fists with a Chinese master.
Son, father, and his beautiful Amerasian step-daughter must battle a family seeking revenge for the little boy’s death, and then battle thugs from Vietnam seeking revenge on the father for a perceived wrong that happened in Saigon.
